Site of Yasuhara Jūōdō

Traces of the Ten Kings faith remaining in the city center

The site of Yasuhara Jūōdō once housed a hall dedicated to the Ten Kings who preside over judgment in the underworld. Deeply connected to funerals and memorial services, people have gathered here to pray for peace in the afterlife. Today, foundation stones remain, quietly conveying the history of Matsumoto's daily life and faith in a corner of the residential area.
