Seisenji Temple
The relocated Kannon Hall preserves the history of this ancient temple for today.
This historic temple houses the Kannon Hall, designated as a Matsumoto City Cultural Property. The Kannon Hall was relocated from Hatada's Wakazawa Temple, which was abandoned during the anti-Buddhist movement. Inside the hall stands the sacred standing statue of Kannon, passed down to Sengen Shinkanji Temple. Through its buildings and Buddhist statues, this quiet place of worship allows visitors to feel the faith and history passed down through the community.
