Historic Site of Hayashijō National Historic Site Designated Mountain Fortress

National Historic Site: Hayashijō Ruins. The castle ruins spread across the mountain convey the breath of history.

Hayashijō Castle was built as the residence of the Ogasawara clan and served as a key mountain fortress in Shinano during the Warring States period. Alongside the ruins of Igawa Castle and Hayashijō Castle, it preserves the appearance of a defensive stronghold from that era. Two hiking routes are available: the Main Castle Route ascending from Kinkabashi Bridge and the Small Castle Route ascending from the Otakuzaki Valley side. It is a historic site where visitors can explore while experiencing nature and history.
