Mizudono Dam
One of the three Azusa River dams
Suido Dam is one of three dams on the Azusa River downstream—Inakane, Suido, and Nagawa—and was constructed and completed in the 1960s. Surrounded by mountains, it is a spot rich in nature. The dam lake is situated within a steep-sided gorge, creating a unique landscape.
Spring brings cherry blossoms, while autumn offers vibrant foliage, making the season when the dam lake's surroundings beautifully transform a highlight. The scenery of autumn leaves against the backdrop of the gorge particularly captivates visitors. It's a spot where you can experience the changing seasons throughout the year.
Parking is available, and you can stroll around the dam area.
