, up to 3,000 eagles and hawks pass overhead in a single day.The sight of flocks of various hawk species—such as Japanese Sparrowhawks, Honey Buzzards, and Eurasian Sparrowhawks—migrating one after another is truly breathtaking. Another unique feature of this location is the sight of birdwatchers from all over Japan, equipped with high-powered telescopes and cameras, simultaneously pointing their lenses skyward. Daily fixed-point observations by expert staff also provide detailed information on migration timing and species.
