Norikura Hill Climb 2024

The Norikura Hill Climb, held on the Norikura Echo Line—the bicycle road closest to the sky

Started in 1986 (Showa 61). This event attracts over 4,000 participants and aims for Norikura Tsurugaike, the highest asphalt road in Japan (2,720m).

With a finish line elevation of 2,720m, it is Japan's highest-altitude bicycle race. It aims to let visitors from Japan and abroad experience the thrill of hill climbing and the rich, majestic nature of the Norikura Highlands. Through this bicycle race, it seeks to widely promote the Norikura Highlands and Matsumoto City while boosting the vitality of the region.
