The 38th National Treasure Matsumoto Castle Taiko Festival 2026

A powerful taiko performance, born of strength and skill, echoes through the summer night.

As if to blow away the summer heat, the powerful sounds of the taiko drums echo throughout the area!

Matsumoto City aims to attract tourists and revitalize the local community through its rich natural environment and the traditional Japanese art of taiko drumming.

On a special stage set up in Matsumoto Castle Park, taiko performances by groups from all over the country will be held over two days.

Feel the pulsating energy of the performances—born of sheer power and skill—with your whole body.
