The 38th National Treasure Matsumoto Castle Taiko Festival 2026

A powerful taiko performance, born of strength and skill, echoes through the summer night

Against the backdrop of Matsumoto Castle—a National Treasure—and the Northern Alps, the powerful sounds of the taiko drums resound!

Through Matsumoto City’s rich natural environment and the traditional Japanese art of taiko drumming, we aim to attract tourists and promote regional development.

On a special stage set up in Matsumoto Castle Park, taiko performances by groups from all over the country will be held over two days.

Experience the electrifying performances and feel the pulse of the atmosphere—born from power and skill—with your whole body.
