2025 Seiji Ozawa Matsumoto Festival

The Saito Kinen Festival Matsumoto, named after Seiji Ozawa's mentor Hideo Saito and founded by Ozawa in 1992, has been held every summer in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture. Since

2015, it has embarked on a new stage as the Seiji Ozawa Matsumoto Festival (OMF).

At OMF, outstanding musicians from around the world gather under Seiji Ozawa. Centered around the Saito Kinen Orchestra, a diverse repertoire including operas and concerts is presented. Furthermore

, the festival's educational program performances through the Seiji Ozawa Music Academy, a major feature of OMF, remain true to the festival's founding principle of not only educating young musicians but also valuing the opportunity for numerous elementary and junior high school students to experience live music. It aims to reach even greater heights.(From the OMF official website).
