- From Nagano Expressway Matsumoto IC, take National Route 158 for about 60 minutes. Park your car at Sawando, then transfer to the shuttle bus bound for Kamikochi. Get off at the final stop, "Kamikochi Bus Terminal." Walk for about 10 minutes.

- Transfer to the Matsumoto Electric Railway Kamikochi Line at JR Matsumoto Station and get off at the terminal station, Shinshimashima Station. Transfer to the shuttle bus bound for Kamikochi at the adjacent bus terminal and get off at the terminal, Kamikochi Bus Terminal. About a 10-minute walk.
