"Beautiful Things Are Beautiful: The Warmth of Handcrafted Work"—A Special Exhibition Marking the 100th Anniversary of Mingei

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Muneyoshi Yanagi’s founding of the Mingei Movement and the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the “Nagano Prefecture Branch of the Japan Mingei Association” in Matsumoto by Taro Maruyama and others, this exhibition features a selection of items—chosen from the collection Taro Maruyama devoted his heart and soul to assembling—that particularly convey the warmth of handcrafted work.
