You can watch, listen to, and experience all these performing arts! All you need to do to see this showcase of Japonisme is show up! No reservations or tickets required! Enjoy!

"Traditional Crafts"

Booths featuring traditional crafts will line Nawate Street and Yotsubashi Shrine!

Oroku combs, papier-mâché crafts, candy art, Tanabata dolls, masks, sake cups, straw crafts, tsumami-zaiku, and indigo dyeing.

These one-of-a-kind crafts are made with the person who will hold them in mind.

There will also be live demonstrations and workshops, so please come and try them out.

Various events are happening simultaneously on Nawate Street!

Enjoy picture book readings with musical accompaniment, shamisen and kendama performances, a kimono market, Japanese-style makeup experiences, swing to Showa-era jazz, powerful Japanese drum performances, and a stamp rally—there are so many ways to enjoy the festival!
