Matsumoto's nationally recognized spring water
Matsumoto is a city that has stored the pure water flowing from the surrounding mountains underground. Due to
its purity, the national government has designated Matsumoto’s water as “Famous Water.”
・Ministry of the Environment: Selected as one of the “100 Famous Waters of the Heisei Era” (FY 2008)
・Ministry of the Environment: Ranked 3rd in the “Famous Waters General Election” in the category of “Famous Waters at Wonderful Tourist Destinations” (FY 2015)

\How to Enjoy a Spring-Water Tour/
- Why not bring your own water bottle?
- More and more people are bringing their own water bottles to enjoy a drink on the go or relax with a drink at home.

- Let’s share this with everyone!
- I totally understand how delicious it is and how it makes you want to drink plenty of it.
Let’s share it with everyone so that as many people as possible can enjoy it.
- Let’s keep it clean!
- The spring tour is only possible thanks to everyone’s cooperation.
Let’s keep the area clean so that the next visitors can enjoy it too.
*We conduct regular water quality tests. With the exception of certain areas
, the water is safe to drink; however, as it is untreated, those with sensitive stomachs should exercise caution.
