Opposite the post office, this large and uncomplicated hot spring facility is easy to find. It can get a bit busy as it is popular with the elderly as a place for socializing, but the main pools are large, and there are plenty of places to wash.
You can use a tatami room upstairs to cool down, and there’s tea service. Vending machines and massage chairs are also available. There is no food served here, but they do have a selection of menus from local restaurants that will deliver if you call – all menus in Japanese only.
You can borrow bicycles here for free. Bikes have carry baskets. However, most of Asama is really easy to explore on foot.
