Found deep within the warehouse: The evolved form of "Matsumoto Craft"
Located down a narrow alley off Nakamachi Street, this shop occupies a 150-year-old building that was once a pickle warehouse. It showcases "new handicrafts"—traditional Matsumoto crafts reimagined with a modern twist. You'll find items where you can see the maker's face, like creative temari balls featuring the gentle hues of plant-dyed colors and stationery called "Tabi Suru Kami" (Traveling Paper) that captures scenes of Matsumoto. The second-floor gallery hosts monthly themed exhibitions. This hidden gem is perfect for those seeking not just ordinary souvenirs, but truly special treasures that shine with personal flair.
