On Sep 23, “Car Free Day” will be held in the downtown in Matsumoto.
Also, Sep. 16-22 is “Matsumoto Mobility Week”. There will be many events about environmental and mobility issues, such as workshop and seminar (19th and 21st), and the showing of the movie, “An Inconvenient Truth” on the 16th.
This is the first time a world-famous environmental event will be held officially in Matsumoto.
On Sep 23, Nakamachi Street and Takasago Street will be a car free area. Instead, the public bus service “town sneaker” will be free to ride.
