Tomonari Gorō Store
Premium Tofu and Sweets Cultivated by Matsumoto's Famous Water
Established in 1927, this long-established tofu shop continues to use Matsumoto's renowned spring water and is known for its "Goro's Silk," a tofu that won a gold prize at a national competition. Inside the stylish shop, which doesn't look like a tofu shop at all, tofu is of course available, but the tofu shop's unique healthy sweets are hugely popular—like soy milk soft-serve ice cream and weekly rotating okara donuts. The tofu meat patties are also a hidden specialty.
