In Japan, we celebrate the new year holiday rather than Xmas. Xmas is not a national holiday. Many companies took holidays for the whole week of Dec 29 – Jan 6 this year.
We can see traditional decorations using rice straw, pine leaves, and bamboo in front of houses, offices, and Matsumoto castle.
