If you are visiting Matsumoto and you are headed to Agata no Mori Park (where the old elementary school is), Hop Frog Cafe is on your way.

Founded 9 years ago, this cafe is the only place in town where you can enjoy nitro coffee, and it also serves beer from early in the morning.

The cafe specializes in cold brew coffee (which can be served hot per request) and offers the possibility to choose a special glass to enhance the flavor of the coffee. 

The cafe is run by a couple, the husband studied in the USA where he got interested in craft beer and coming back to Japan they wanted to work with beer or coffee, and in the end they decided to do both, and this is how Hop Frog Cafe was born.

Today I came here to drink nitro coffee!

The cafe offers a rotation of beers on tap and coffee beans. It opens from Wednesday to Sunday from 9 AM to 7PM

Coffee tasting set 1100 yen (includes nitro)
Beer tasting set 2200 (weekdays only, the number is limited)
