Saito Kinen Festival (SKF), a popular classical music festival, is being held in Matsumoto city from August 15 – September 9. We can see the colorful flags of SKF and the audience, including foreigners, in the streets.
SKF is performed by Saito Kinen Orchestra as its annual showcase, and is conducted by world-renowned Seiji Ozawa and performed by high-level professional players gathering from all over the world.
A free, open-air concert by SKO and local amateur bands was held on September 1st, at Alps Park.
