City Center Sightseeing: Exploring Matsumoto Castle (a National Treasure) and the Castle Town
Scenic Tour Route (Approx. 30 km long, 510 m elevation gain)
The first half of the route is relatively flat, passing through vineyards, hot spring towns, and the Zenkoji Kaido, offering a variety of scenery.
The second half features many ups and downs and is best suited for experienced cyclists, but the views of the Northern Alps from the observation decks at Mount Keshibozu, Alps Park, and Shiroyama Park are truly exceptional.
If you follow the road markings, you can enjoy the bike ride without getting lost.
Filming Location Tour Route (Approx. 22 km, 307 m elevation gain)
We’ll tour locations beloved by the local community, such as Susukigawa and Agata Forest, which appear in the TV drama *Shirosen Nagashi* and the movie *Orange*.
Be sure to watch the movie and TV drama and try to find the filming locations for yourself.
City Walking Route (Approx. 9.2 km, 56 m elevation gain)
This tour takes you through the city center, focusing on two National Treasures: Matsumoto Castle and the Former Kaichi School.
You’ll get a close-up look at Matsumoto’s charm through its natural springs and the massive outdoor sculpture by Matsumoto-born avant-garde artist Yayoi Kusama, among other attractions.
