Nepalese Cuisine is especially popular in Matsumoto City, and Little Nepal is one of many great Nepalese restaurants in town.
Located in Namiyanagi (not far from Mt. Kobo) it is the perfect restaurant to eat a nice meal while enjoying the lovely view of the pond nearby.
On Wednesdays it features a special lunch set menu: for 500 yen you will eat the curry of the day, naan, salad, pickles and all you can drink soup.
The owner said he picked this place because the view of the pond reminded him of Nepal. He organizes several charity events throughout the year with the goal of helping schools in Nepal.
The restaurant also serves a selection of curry, paneer, vegetarian options, Nepalese beer, dalbhat and more. I highly recommend it!
