Daimyocho Street

Daimyocho Street is the street running from the Metaba River to Matsumoto Castle. It has a wide range of shops, ranging from cosmetics and salons, to souvenir shops and restaurants, and even art, craft, and antique shops. Near the castle, you’ll find the Matsumoto Tourist Information Center where you can pick up pamphlets, find out about events, or get recommendations for accommodation. Across from the tourist information center is a shop called Gaku, which sells antiques, kimono, yukata, ceramics, and other treasures.
