The museum houses various local artifacts and has a replica of an ancient dwelling outside. Of interest is the contents of a local ancient grave found on top of the nearby hill, Mt Kobo. It also contains earthenware and stone tools from the Jomon period (8000 BC to 200 BC) to the Heian Period (794-1192) which are displayed in chronological order.
