One of the greatest draws of Senri is its Royal Vanilla soft-serve from Karuizawa’s Cafe de Minoriya. Minoriya’s soft-serve became popular in Japan after it was praised by John Lennon and other famous figures. During the summer, you’ll often see a line of people waiting in front of Senri’s outdoor ordering window for their own taste of this creamy treat.
They offer numerous toppings, such as nuts and fruit sauces, and other special ice cream concoctions. If you are feeling a little hungry, you can also order one of Senri’s soba tacos in which fillings like tandoori chicken are wrapped up in a buckwheat crepe/burrito-like shell.
