● A Look Back at 35 Years of Progress from SKF to OMF Through Rare Footage

The Seiji Ozawa Matsumoto Festival (OMF) marks its 35th anniversary this year. To celebrate this milestone, we are presenting a special program featuring rare footage that looks back on memorable concerts and opera performances from throughout the festival’s history.

From the origins of SKF (Saito Kinen Festival Matsumoto) to the festival’s history of growing alongside the local community, and countless memorable performances—with the cooperation of SBC Shin-Etsu Broadcasting and abn Nagano Asahi Broadcasting, we will screen rare footage of past performances on the big screen.

This special event, with free admission, is our way of expressing our gratitude to everyone who has supported the festival over the years. Through these precious recordings that bring back the excitement of those days, we invite you to experience the 35-year journey and charm of the festival—from SKF to OMF (Seiji Ozawa Matsumoto Festival). The program is designed to be enjoyed by music fans as well as those experiencing the festival for the first time.
