Free Admission for Guests Wearing Kimono
During the extended summer hours from Saturday, August 8, through Sunday, August 16, visitors wearing traditional Japanese clothing will be admitted free of charge to Matsumoto Castle, a National Treasure.
Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Last admission at 5:30 p.m.)
Eligibility: Traditional Japanese attire (yukata or jinbei)
*Please note that the stairs inside the main keep are steep, and some sections may be difficult to climb.
