Orchestra Concert: Program B
François-Xavier Roth, making his OMF debut, will conduct the SKO in a performance of Bruckner’s Symphony No. 8 (Haas edition).
Roth is a French musical genius who founded “Les Siècles,” an orchestra that performs a wide range of works from the 17th century to the present day, and has won numerous prestigious awards. From 2019 to 2023, he focused intensively on Bruckner’s symphonies, releasing recordings of six of the nine symphonies, and his unique interpretations have generated significant buzz.The Symphony No. 8, which will be performed on this occasion, is a work often hailed as the pinnacle of Bruckner’s spiritual expression. We eagerly anticipate a new era of Bruckner that uniquely blends Loto’s historical perspective with modernity.
