Matsumoto Architecture and Art Festival 2026: Advance
We will host 19 exhibitions by 18 artists from Japan and abroad at 19 venues (18 facilities) throughout Matsumoto City.

Following Phase 1, the “Video Art Festival,” held at the Matsumoto City Museum from February to March of this year, Phase 2 returns to the festival’s roots as a “city-wide walking tour.” This time, venues have been expanded to three areas: “Castle Town,” “Asama Onsen,” and “West (Historic Village).”
The streets and alleys connecting the venues also serve as exhibition spaces in their own right. We invite you to take a stroll and explore the places where Matsumoto’s “famous architecture” meets art.
