The 75th Nagano Prefecture Ikebana Education Association Ikebana Exhibition
The Nagano Prefecture Ikebana Education Association is an ikebana organization composed of instructors from various ikebana schools across seven branches in Nagano Prefecture (Nagano, Matsumoto, Ueda, Saku, Ina, and Iida). The association holds an ikebana exhibition each year, rotating among the branches, and this year marks the 75th such exhibition.
This year marks the 150th anniversary of the establishment of the current Nagano Prefecture.
In this special year, this time-honored flower arrangement exhibition—having overcome the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic—will be held in Matsumoto for the first time in a full decade.
At the venue, 116 members—primarily from the Matsumoto and Suwa branches—will welcome you with their masterpieces.
As the lingering traces of summer give way to the early hints of autumn, please take your time to enjoy this flower arrangement exhibition, featuring a display of vibrant works.
Saturday, September 26, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
As part of our outreach to the next generation, we will be holding a “Children’s Ikebana Workshop.” Participation is free, and registration is limited to the first 70 participants.
Flower materials and tools will be provided at the venue, and you may take your finished arrangement home.
A flower arrangement instructor will provide careful guidance on the day of the event, so beginners are more than welcome.
We hope this event will spark your interest in ikebana.
