Matsumoto Castle, a National Treasure: Takigi Noh (Hosho School), Kyogen (Okura School)
As the Northern Alps are bathed in the crimson glow of sunset, a fire-lighting ceremony will be held at the site of the former Ninomaru Palace.
This event fosters the unique sense of unity between the stage and the audience that is characteristic of outdoor Noh performances. Please take your time and enjoy this midsummer night as you experience Japan’s traditional performing arts.
