Letter House Bunbako will be hosting a pop-up event by Oeda Letterpress.

The unique character of the paper in letterpress printing creates subtle shadows that appear depending on the angle of the light; these seem less like the result of printing and more like the natural expression of the paper itself.

The hues of the paper, the depth of the ink, and the textured letters that beg to be gently touched—none of these elements make a loud statement; instead, they seem to quietly whisper, “Please keep me by your side for a long time.”

In addition to Oeda Letterpress Studio’s paper goods, this pop-up will feature items that go beyond their usual paper products—such as leather notebooks, tool bags, and aprons—that you’ll want to use together with them, serving as tools to support your daily life.

These are tools that gently accompany the hands of those who work, the hearts of those who write, and the feelings you wish to preserve. Please stop by the store and take each one in your hands to experience their unique character.

◎ Oe Letterpress Studio

Oe Letterpress Studio began in December 2013 when a printer and a designer revived a printing shop that had lain dormant for many years. Utilizing a large, old platen press manufactured by Heidelberg in Germany and a small press known as a “Tekin,” they create paper stationery that enriches daily life while making the most of letterpress printing techniques.The paper goods produced by these machines capture the unique texture of good old-fashioned letterpress printing, resulting in elegant and beautiful finishes that subtly enhance daily life. Through our original designs, we invite you to look, touch, write, and display—to take time to truly engage with paper.
